Omg! This man fainted because his salary got slashed from N18,000 to N5,000 in Kebbi State ...photo

According to a Facebook user, Na-Allah Mohammed Zagga, who posted the photo today, October 21, the man pictured from Warra, Kebbi, reportedly collapsed in reaction to the slashing of his salary from N18, 000 to five thousand Naira by the Ngaski Local Government Council of Kebbi State. He wrote:
Look at what our so-called democracy has done to him! The man in this picture was trying to pull himself together after he collapsed in reaction to the slashing of his salary from N18,000 to five thousand naira by the Ngaski Local Government Council of Kebbi State. The poor Nigerians are the guinea pigs of economic sacrifices brought on by the recession. Why are the so-called elected leaders not making substantial and significant sacrifices to reflect our economic realities?
Why must the burden of sacrifices be disproportionately borne by poor Nigerians? Governor Tanko Al-Makura of Nassarawa State is locked in labour crisis after proposing severe salary cut from the current N18, 000. The NLC dismissed it as ridiculous, wondering how you can slash eighteen thousand minimum wage when a bag of rice sells for more than twenty thousand naira!
This is a country where our so-called representatives are carting away millions monthly as salaries and allowances while millions of poor Nigerians are buffeted daily by hunger, poverty and starvation. The former President of Lagos Business School Professor Pat Utomi described Nigerian democracy as "the government of politicians, by politicians and for politicians." I can't agree more.- -

Shocking! A Nigerian surgeon removes baby from mother's womb, operates on her tumor & returns her back (photo)

LynLee Hope who suffered from a tumor know a 'sacrococcygeal teratoma'  underwent a crucial operation at 23 weeks and then returned to her mother's womb. She healed and continued to grow until she was born again at 36 weeks. This amazing feat was performed by a surgeon who is  nigerian but  based in the U.S , Dr Oluyinka Olutoye, and his surgeon partner , Dr. Darrell Cass of Texas Children's Hospital

When Margaret Boemer went for a routine ultrasound 16 weeks into her pregnancy with her third child, she found out that things were far from routine.

"They saw something on the scan, and the doctor came in and told us that there was something seriously wrong with our baby and that she had a sacrococcygeal teratoma," the Plano, Texas, mom said in an interview shared by Texas Children's Hospital. "And it was very shocking and scary, because we didn't know what that long word meant or what diagnosis that would bring,"

Sacrococcygeal teratoma is a tumor that develops before birth and grows from a baby's coccyx, the tailbone.  Found more often in girls than boys, this tumor occurs in one out of every 35,000 births.
"This is the most common tumor we see in a newborn," said Dr. Darrell Cass, co-director of Texas Children's Fetal Center and associate professor of surgery, pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor College Medicine. "Even though it's the most common we see, it's still pretty rare."
Booemer had been pregnant with twins, but lost one of the babies before her second trimester so it was a shock at 16 weeks to learn of her daughter's rare birth defect.
"Some of these tumors can be very well-tolerated, so the fetus has it and can get born with it and we can take it out after the baby's born," said Cass. "But about half of the time, they cause problems for the fetus and it's usually causing problems because of a blood flow problem."
Cass explained that the tumor is trying to grow by sucking blood flow from the baby, yet the baby is also trying to grow, too "so it becomes a competition. And in some instances, the tumor wins and the heart just can't keep up and the heart goes into failure and the baby dies," he said.

With a large tumor stealing the blood supply, Boemer's fetus was becoming more ill each day, doctors explained to the expectant mother. Something had to be done.
Although other doctors had advised her to terminate the pregnancy, Cass and his team told her about another possibility: fetal surgery. This option, though, would not be an easy road. Even worse, her baby's chances of survival would be grim.
"LynLee didn't have much of a chance," Boemer said. "At 23 weeks, the tumor was shutting her heart down and causing her to go into cardiac failure, so it was a choice of allowing the tumor to take over her body or giving her a chance at life. It was an easy decision for us: We wanted to give her life.
She was 23 weeks and 5 days pregnant, when Cass and his partner surgeon, Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye, performed the emergency fetal surgery. By this time, the tumor was nearly larger than the fetus. They operated for about five hours.
"The part on the fetus we do very, very quickly," said Cass. "It's only 20 minutes or so on the actual fetus." Most of the time is spent opening the uterus, which he described as "a big muscle lined with membranes. We don't want the mom's health to be jeopardized," said Cass, who explained they work carefully, both making the incision and sewing it up in order "to make that uterus be as sealed and as water tight as possible."
Still, Cass said, the tumor in this case was so large a huge incision was needed to get to it, "so it ended up that the baby was hanging out in the air... Essentially, the fetus is outside, like completely out, all the amniotic fluid falls out, it's actually fairly dramatic," said Cass.

During the surgery, LynLee's heart slowed down to an incredibly low rate.
"It basically stopped," said Cass. He credits the heart specialist, a key member of the team, for giving the right medication and transfusing the right amount of fluid, allowing the surgeons to continue their work. The surgical team removed the bulk of the tumor. When they finished their operation, the surgeons placed LynLee back inside the womb and sewed her mother's uterus shut. It's kind of a miracle you're able to open the uterus like that and seal it all back and the whole thing works," said Cass.
Boemer was on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy. Despite her pain, she marshaled her strength and made it another 12 weeks to nearly 36 weeks -- full term -- when Lynlee Hope was born for the second time via C-section on June 6. She weighed 5 pounds and 5 ounces.

After she was born, LynLee faced one more ordeal: removing the bits of tumor that surgeons could not reach, which had begun to grow again.
"At eight days old, she had more surgery, and they were able to remove the rest of the tumor," explained Boemer. LynLee recovered in the NICU and weeks later, arrived in her family home. Baby Boemer is still an infant but is doing beautiful," said Cass, remarking that she is perfectly healthy. His one previous surgery of this kind was also a success. "I think she's about 7 now, and she sings karaoke to Taylor swift -- she's completely normal," said Cass.

Update! Obanikoro put $5.37m in Military trunk for Fayose

About 24 hours ago, Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State cried out that Obanikoro is compromised as an indirect way of challenging some of the confessions he's said to have made to the EFCC.

Fast forward to now, one of Fayose's closest men, a former PDP Secretary in Ekiti, Dr. Tope Aluko, has told EFCC of how ex-Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, handed over $5.377m cash to Governor Ayo Fayose.

He confessed that the cash, which was put in a green military trunk by the ex-minister, was given to Fayose in the presence of nine PDP elders.

He listed those who witnessed the collection by Fayose...
A former Secretary to the State Government, a senator, two members of the House of Assembly, a former Director-General and others.

Aluko, it was learnt, had one-and-a half hours hostile encounter with Obanikoro. Upon receiving the large suit case (box) and a key to open it, he said, Fayose and Obanikoro retired into an inner room of Spotless Hotel for a brief discussion.

Aluko made the revelation during a grilling by the EFCC team against the backdrop of the ongoing probe of how Obanikoro shared the N4.745billion wired to a company linked to him by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).
The N4.685bn was transferred to Sylva McNamara Ltd. out of which $5.377m cash was personally given to Fayose by Obanikoro.

Obanikoro had also confessed to EFCC team that he gave Fayose the cash in the presence of PDP elders, including Dr. Tope Aluko.

According to a source, Aluko told the detectives: “The ex-minister brought the $5.377million cash to Spotless Hotel for Fayose in a green military trunk. He was accompanied by four military men.

“Obanikoro handed over the trunk and a key to Fayose in the presence of nine eminent PDP elders in the state.

“Holding a piece of paper, Obanikoro later entered into an inner room in the hotel for a discussion with Fayose. Maybe the paper was for Fayose to acknowledge the receipt of the cash.

Upon coming out, Fayose opened the trunk with the key and we all saw it was filled with dollars. We had a list of how we wanted to use the money but we had not expended the Naira cash at hand.

Fayose, who asked me to call other PDP leaders, later took the trunk to his room at the hotel for safe keeping. That was the last we heard about the cash.”

Shocking! How MTN illegally transferred Multi-billion Dollars out of Nigeria

The amount of money which South Africa's MTN Group is alleged to have illegally moved out of Nigeria is "mind boggling", a Nigerian lawmaker said on Thursday at the start of a parliamentary investigation into the telecoms company.

Nigeria's upper house of parliament agreed last month to investigate whether the firm unlawfully repatriated $13.92billion between 2006 and 2016.

MTN shares fell 3.2 percent to more than six-year lows after Bloomberg quoted a senator as saying the amount could be "outrageously higher". The shares later pared some losses.

The accusations of illegal transfers were denied by MTN Nigeria Chief Executive Ferdi Moolman, who appeared at the hearing.

"MTN categorically denies all suggestions that its bankers in strict violation of the FEMM Act (Foreign Exchange (Monitoring and Miscellaneous Act) and Foreign Exchange Manual, repatriated $13.92 billion illegally out of Nigeria," said Moolman.

The allegation is the latest setback for Africa's biggest telecoms firm in its most lucrative but increasingly most problematic market, coming months after it agreed to pay a greatly reduced fine of 330 billion naira ($1.08 billion) to end a long running dispute over unregistered SIM cards.

MTN officials, Nigeria's trade minister and four lenders were due to appear at the parliamentary hearing, which started on Thursday.

"It is not what we can sweep under the carpet. We intend to get to the bottom of the fact, all of the fact, nothing but the fact," said Olusola Adeyeye, a senator, reading out a statement from Senate leader Bukola Saraki, said at the start of hearing.

Dino Melaye, the senator who first made the allegations in a motion passed by lawmakers last month, said he raised the issue "as a patriotic Nigerian, a whistle-blower and an anti-corruption crusader", adding that he stood by the allegations.

MTN is the largest mobile network operator in Nigeria, Africa's most populous nation and has the continent's biggest economy. The country accounts for a third of MTN's revenue.

It follows a row between South African hotel and gaming group Sun International and Nigeria's EFCC over its investment in a hotel operator in Lagos. The disagreement caused Sun International to pull out of Nigeria in August.

Rafiu Ibrahim, chairman of Nigeria's senate investigative panel on alleged illegal repatriation of funds, said on Wednesday that a team of international and local accountancy experts and lawyers had been assembled to look into the matter.

"Investors are nervous with what's happening with Nigeria purely because the past history has shown us that typically the government tends to move the goal posts," Independent Securities trader Ryan Woods said.

Omg! 50 yr old Social worker 'Cut Up Police Officer After They Met On Gay Dating App Grindr' ...photo

PC Gordon Semple (1st picture) was killed at the beginning of April this year. Stefano Brizzi (right) is standing trial for his murder.

A Breaking Bad-obsessed sadomasochist strangled a police officer, then copied a plot from the American drama by dissolving his body in an acid bath, a court has heard.

PC Gordon Semple, 59, was on duty when he arranged to meet his alleged killer, Stefano Brizzi, via Grindr for 'hot, dirty, sleazy' sex on April 1.

The 50-year-old Italian was allegedly in the middle of throttling him when he turned away another man who had arrived for a drug-fuelled sex party.

Over the next few days, neighbours on the Peabody Estate in south London noticed a 'revolting smell' coming from Brizzi's flat.

When one complained, Brizzi put it down to cooking for a friend, jurors at the Old Bailey were told.

By April 7, a resident alerted police, who visited the flat and found Brizzi wearing only sunglasses and underpants.
They also found a bath full of acid with 'globules of flesh' floating in it, the court heard.

Brizzi allegedly told an officer: 'I've tried to dissolve the body ... I've killed a police officer. I killed him last week. I met him on Grindr and I killed him. Satan told me to.'

However, jurors were told that the defendant was not claiming a psychiatric defence and now says Pc Semple died accidentally during a 'sex game gone wrong'.

Opening the trial, prosecutor Crispin Aylett QC told jurors the case called for 'broad minds and strong stomachs'.
Pc Semple had been in a relationship but was 'sexually promiscuous' and used Grindr for 'extreme' encounters of 'domination, bondage and much else besides', he said.

On the day of the killing, Pc Semple and Brizzi had invited more men on Grindr to join them for a sex party with drugs available but only one man - referred to only as CD - turned up, jurors were told.

Mr Aylett told jurors: 'When CD pressed the entry buzzer, someone who can only have been the defendant replied over the intercom "We are having a situation here. Someone fell ill but we're taking care of it. So our party is cancelled". CD turned around and went home.'

The prosecutor told jurors that CD must have arrived at the very point PC Semple was meeting his death inside the flat.

Brizzi later told police that PC Semple had invited a number of people to the flat 'but they didn't arrive and, when one did arrive, I was right in the middle of strangling Gordon and I said to - he was right there at the door - and I said to him "Look, this is not the right time now, people are falling ill and it's a mess".'

After PC Semple's partner failed to get hold of him on his mobile phone, he reported him missing.

Lobatan! Armed robbers hijack tanker and divert N4.5m Fuel

Image result for images of petrol tanker in nigeria
The police in Lagos are on the trail of some suspected robbers, who allegedly hijacked a tanker laden with 33,000-litre fuel valued at N4.5m on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The robbers were also said to have abducted the vehicle’s escort, Shittu Oluwasegun.

It was learnt that the product was to be delivered to a filling station in Ore, Ondo State, before the tanker was hijacked in the Sagamu, Ogere, Ogun State end of the expressway.

The police said a man, identified simply as Lateef, from whom the tanker was hired to transport the fuel, allegedly connived with the robbers.

Punch correspondent gathered that the owner of the product, Muyideen Adebayo, had sometime in September, rented the tanker for N170,000 through one Muyideen Abdulhameed and Tunde Adeleke, who reportedly presented themselves as managers.

The robbers, who were reportedly five in number, including Lateef, ambushed the tanker driver and the escort, Oluwasegun, around 7.30pm on the expressway.

They allegedly hijacked the tanker and whisked Oluwasegun away in a car.

“When we got to Ogere, Lateef stopped the driver and said he was the owner of the tanker. He left with the driver for about an hour before they came back.

“Immediately the driver and I entered the vehicle to continue our journey, a car waylaid us. One of the occupants pointed a gun at me, forced me into the car and drove off. Lateef was among them. They later dropped me off near a bush after collecting my mobile phone,” Oluwasegun told the police.

Punch Metro learnt that the case was reported at the Trinity Police Station and referred to the Special Ant-Robbery Squad, Ikeja, leading to the managers’ arrest.

One of the suspects, Adeleke, said, “I don’t know anything about the robbery. I am a truck driver. Muyideen (Abdulhameed) told me that he rented out tankers. Mr. Adebayo met with me and said he needed a tanker to transport fuel to Ore. I introduced him to Muyideen and they discussed. He paid N100,000 in advance.”

Abdulhameed, who is also a truck driver, said, “I don’t have any truck or tanker. The tanker in question is owned by Lateef and I rented it from him for that trip. When I was told that the tanker had been stolen, I immediately called him but he didn’t pick my calls. He later switched off his phone.

“I don’t know where he lives. We met at a prison in Ogun State.”

The two suspects were subsequently brought before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court by a police prosecutor, Inspector Benedict Aigbokhan, on three counts bordering on conspiracy and robbery.

The charges read in part, “That you, Muyideen Abdulhameed, Tunde Adeleke and others at large, on September 9, 2016, at about 7.30pm along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in the Ikeja Magisterial District, while armed with a gun and other weapons did kidnap one Shittu Oluwasegun, the escort in charge of a Daf tanker with number plate, AAA871XB, loaded with 33,000 litres of petrol, thereby committing an offence contrary to Section 269 (1) and punishable under Section 269 (3) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.”

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges and were granted bail by the presiding magistrate, Mrs. O.  Olanipekun, in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties each in like sum.

The case was adjourned till November 17, 2016.

Karena Virginia becomes the 10th woman to accuse Donald Trump of Sexual Misconduct ...photo

A yoga instructor and lifestyle coach came forward Thursday with claims that Donald Trump had inappropriate sexual contact with her, becoming at least the 10th woman to make such allegations against the GOP nominee.

Flanked by women's rights attorney Gloria Allred, a Hillary Clinton supporter who has represented other women with sexual misconduct claims against Trump, Karena Virginia shared her story, tears streaming down her cheeks.

She said she first encountered Donald Trump in 1998, as she was waiting for a car service to pick her up after the U.S. Open tennis tournament in Queens, New York.

"I knew who he was, but I had never met him. He was with a few other men," she said at a press conference in New York Thursday. "I was quite surprised when I overheard him talking to the other men about me. He said, 'Hey, look at this one, we haven't seen her before. Look at those legs.' As though I was an object, rather than a person."

"He then walked up to me and reached his right arm and grabbed my right arm, then his hand touched the right inside of my breast. I was in shock. I flinched," she continued.

Trump then asked her, "Don't you know who I am? Don't you know who I am?" she said.

After she got into her car, the "shock turned to shame," Virginia said. She said that for years she felt she was to blame for the incident because she was wearing a short dress and high heels at the time.

"I have been fearful of bringing unwanted attention to my loving family and me," Virginia said. "But in the end, I feel that it is my duty as a woman, as a mother, a human being and as an American citizen to speak out and tell the truth."

Virginia is "not considering a lawsuit at this time," Allred said, but wanted to speak out in response to Trump's "ludicrous" denial of the allegations against him. Allred served as an elected delegate during the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia for Clinton in July.

Virginia added that she had another encounter with Trump more recently.

"About five years ago, I saw Mr. Trump once again. This time, we were at a business setting and there were many people around. He looked me up and down a few times. This time, mixed in with the feelings of shame, I felt disgust," she said.

Her claim is the latest in a string from accusers against Trump. Trump has fervently denied the accusations, in some cases going so far as to joke that the women accusing him aren't attractive enough for his taste.

Hip Hop Musician Akon in Liberia to install electricity at schools ...photo

Senegalese-born hip-hop musician Akon was yesterday in Liberia to install solar electricity at two primary schools in the West African country.

It is part of his Lighting Africa project to bring electricity to 600 million people across the continent.

In this instance he has partnered up with Bridge International Academies, which, in association with other international organisations, is behind a pilot project in Liberia to run 50 government junior schools.

As his motorcade drove into the capital, Monrovia, under police escort, the musician said it was “crazy” that he could not see a single street light on the 50km (32-mile) road from the airport.

Akon told the BBC that he was moved by the resilience of the Liberian people after 14 years of civil war and the recent Ebola epidemic.

“A lot of people don’t realise that it’s the people that develop countries; all government does is to try to manage the process; and in Africa we have a tendency of thinking that the government does it all for us.”

“This is our country, we have to live in it, we have to sleep, we have wake up in the same environment, so we have to be the ones to create that environment for ourselves; and we can’t put it on government,” he said

The musician said Africans should look beyond race and address the continent’s education and other problems.

“It’s not a black or white problem; it is an African problem,” he said.

And he told school children in Liberia to take their learning seriously, saying:

“We all benefit if we are educated.”
