Serious Wahala dey o, You won't believe what the Ekiti Govt is Accusing the EFCC of...(read shocking post)
Ekiti State Government has described the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC ) decision to appeal the Abuja Federal High Court judgment, granting Governor Ayodele Fayode’s ally, Mr Abiodun Agbele bail and awarding N5 million damages in his favour as clear demonstration of the anti-corruption agency's wickedness and show of vendetta against the governor.
The government said it was curious that for the first time, EFCC was appealing against a judgment that merely enforced the fundamental rights of Mr Agbele by granting him bail in accordance with the laws of the country. Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka said; "It is now obvious that all that the EFCC desired is to incarcerate Mr Agbele indefinitely just because he is linked with Governor Fayode, who the EFCC and its APC collaborators desired to silence at all cost."
The government said; "We are not surprised by this ignoble action of the EFCC because we know that Governor Fayode is their target. That was the same way they placed the governor on travel ban and invaded the State House of Assembly with men of the Department of State Service (DSS) to force the governor’s removal.
"Justice Olukayode Adeniyi clearly frowned at the EFCC arbitrary abuse of power and unlawful detention of Mr Agbele without arraigning him in court of competent jurisdiction in line with the constitution and we wonder what the EFCC will be appealing and filing stay of execution against.
"We wonder the sense in keeping an accused in EFCC custody indefinitely while the anti-corruption agency goes about looking for evidences to prosecute him.
"If the EFCC is sure of the evidences that it claimed to have, what is the need for keeping Mr Agbele in detention? Why not take him to court? And what interest is the EFCC serving by standing against a court ruling that granted conditional bail to an accused person?"

The three men accused of raping a 20-year-old Indian woman for a second time last week have been arrested and will appear in court today. The men include two who were arrested for raping her in 2013 and currently out on bail as the case edged its way through India's creaking legal system. The third man was also accused in the alleged attack, but was not arrested.
Pushpa Khatri, the investigating officer, said: "We will be collecting DNA samples from the victim and the three accused to ascertain whether the allegations are true... the three arrested, they are the same men who had raped her earlier." The family have told Indian media that the men had threatened to rape her again as "punishment" for not agreeing to an out-of-court settlement.
The three accused in the Rohtak case will appear in court next week where police will ask for them to be remanded in custody so they can continue their interrogations, said Sanjay Kumar, Rohtak police inspector general. The victim's father said that his daughter was determined to fight the case and after the second incident had told him: "I will not give up."

The second gang, consisting of 10 male and four females were picked-up at Abattoir on Monday at about 02:35 am, after three of them had earlier been arrested in Computer Village, Ikeja, for stealing mobile phones.

The Senate president, Bukola Saraki, on Thursday said he remained committed to the ideals and agenda of the All Progressives Congress.
Mr. Saraki’s assurances was in reaction to media reports that he had abandoned his party for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The speculation followed Mr. Saraki’s appearance at the PDP Senate’s caucus meeting on Wednesday.
In a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Social Media, Bamikole Omishore, Mr. Saraki said he was not prepared to leave a party he that he “helped midwife and worked for its victory in the 2015 elections”.
Mr. Omishore said Mr. Saraki attended the PDP event in “his official capacity as Senate President and chairman, National Assembly”.
“He attended the end of session event of the PDP caucus yesterday evening and spent only 30 minutes before leaving the members to continue with the event.
“The Senate President would like to assure every Nigerian that he is committed to the APC-led government and appreciates the confidence reposed in him and the APC during the 2015 General Elections,” Mr. Omishore said.
Information indicates that the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, told the Senate in session this afternoon that Nigeria's struggling economy is finally in recession.
When asked if we are in recession, Mrs Adeosun said; "Technically, Yes." She also confirmed in clear terms that there is no more subsidies. With this reality, what is the way out?
These are indeed troubling times for many families. Inflation figures are scary. The cost of goods and servicing are increasing on a daily basis. The value of the Naira is not encouraging, especially at the notorious black market which operates with virtually no control.
I hope the government will be able to fashion out a realistic way forward in the shortest possible time.

Another Shooting ...Police shoots unarmed black man lying down on his back with his hands up..(photos)
Another unarmed black man shot but thankfully not killed by police this week in Miami, Florida. The victim, Charles Kinsey, a therapist, was trying to calm his autistic patient down on the streets when he was approached by police following reports of a man threatening to commit suicide (referring to the autistic man) Charles was shot despite laying on the ground and raising his hands up
North Miami Assistant Police Chief Neal Cuevas told The Miami Herald that officers responded to the scene on Monday to find 47-year-old Charles Kinsey, a therapist who works with people with disabilities, trying to get his 27-year-old patient back to a facility from where he wandered.
According to the Police chief, police ordered Kinsey and the patient, who was sitting in the street playing with a toy truck, to lie on the ground. Kinsey lies down and puts his hands up while trying to get his patient to comply. An officer then fired three times, striking Kinsey in the leg. No weapon was found on Kinsey. According to the police they thought the toy truck was a gun.
Kinsey's attorney, Hilton Napoleon, showed a video to Miami Herald on Wednesday taken moments before the shooting. The video shows Kinsey lying in the middle of the street with his hands up, asking the officers not to shoot him, while the autistic man sits next to him, yelling at him to "shut up."
"Sir, there's no need for firearms," Kinsey said he told police before he was shot, according to the station. "It was so surprising. It was like a mosquito bite."
In hospital as he recovered from the gunshot wound, Charles said he tried to talk to the officers in the video but was unable to get through to them.
“When I went to the ground, I went to the ground with my hands up,” Kinsey said, “and I am laying there just like this. Telling them again there is no need for firearms. He is autistic. He has a toy truck in his hand.”Police ended up shooting Charles and he just doesn't know why. The case is under investigation..

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has frozen the account linked to Shalewa Obanikoro, the daughter of a former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro. EFCC investigators revealed that N1.2bn passed through her account which belongs to an oil firm. Shalewa, who is a signatory to the account, was said to have personally mandated Fidelity Bank to transfer N800m from the account to another account within the bank...
A source in the anti-graft agency on Tuesday told Punch that, “We have frozen an account in which Obanikoro’s daughter is a signatory. She specifically mandated the bank to transfer N800m from the account to another account. “We discovered that money was paid into the account at various times. The money came in N50m, N20m, N30m and various sums.
“She said the cash was for oil and gas transactions. So, we have frozen the account as investigations continue. We want to know where the funds came from. N1.2bn has passed through the account.” The EFCC was said to have made the discovery of Shalewa’s transactions when it was investigating the N4.7bn allegedly paid into the account of Obanikoro’s two sons – Babajide and Gbolahan.
The cash, paid into the Diamond Bank of Sylvan McNamara, was allegedly shared by Obanikoro, the Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose; and the then governorship candidate of the PDP in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, who is now in EFCC custody.
While Omisore is in detention for allegedly receiving N1.3bn, five properties allegedly belonging to Fayose have been seized while his three Zenith Bank accounts have been frozen. A house belonging to Obanikoro’s two sons in Ikoyi, Lagos, has also been seized.
Obanikoro and his sons are on the run, leaving their wife and girlfriends in Nigeria.
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a private school teacher, Matthew Sodeke, for alleged child abuse in Igbala community in the Sango Ota area of the state.
Sodeke, an English Language teacher, was caught sucking the private parts of a male pupil.
The teacher was reportedly caught by a parent who had come to pick her own child in the school. It was gathered that the teacher allegedly s*xually assaulted the 16-year-old boy, identified as Ajala, in one of the offices of the school after closing hours.
According to Punch, on Tuesday, July 12, at 4pm, Sodeke was said to have called the pupil upstairs into one of the offices.
It was learnt that Sodeke allegedly instructed the boy to remove his trousers, after which the teacher allegedly began to suck the boy’s privates.
A yet-to-be-identified parent, who reportedly came to check her child in the school, was said to have caught the duo and raised the alarm.
The matter was thereafter reported at the Sango Police Division, and Sodeke was arrested.
A parent, identified only as Shokoya, who claimed to be a witness, said the teacher was beaten up by a mob before he was taken to police station. Shokoya added that the pupil confessed that his private parts had been sucked by the teacher on several occasions.
She said, “The teacher was caught while molesting the boy after school hours. He could not deny it because he was caught in the act.
“After a parent had raised the alarm, other parents and youths descended on the teacher and beat him to a pulp. He was thereafter handed over to the police at the Sango division.
“The teacher said he was formerly living with his brother, a pastor, who later sent him out when he (the pastor) caught him sucking a neighbour’s private parts.
“When the pupil was also interviewed, he confessed that it was not the first time the teacher would molest him. He said the teacher warned him not to disclose the act to anyone.”
Teacher Sodeke, who confessed to the crime, had been charged to court.
But for timely intervention of the police, this man would have been beaten to death after he snatched a little girl child while she was walking on the street with her mum, around Beckleys Estate in Abule Egba area of Lagos.
He immediately jumped and zoomed off. But the mother of the child raised an alarm and some good passersby started chasing him, including those on bikes - okada men.
When the man realized that many people were after him, he threw the child from the bike. But they continued chasing until he was eventually captured.
The kidnapper was mercilessly beaten and stripped by those who caught him. Fortunately for him, the police from Oko Oba division came to his rescue and took him away. He is in detention.
The little girl he threw from the moving bike was injured and has been taken to the hospital. Talk of desperation!
